Oh good lord how do you manage it? You're like...an incredible artist at an insanely young age...6 hours...
I love the way the flames are so believeable...at the top they look like curling smoke sorta thing. Also the face is almost perfectly proportioned, although i think the right eye is a little smaller than the left one. I also adore the little bits of hair that fall over her face, it shows such attention to detail. And thats as close as I've ever done to a proper crit. Hope its helpful
Hey Raven! I love this pic a lot! I can tell you put some work into it, but having it done in a day?? Wow, you're good!
Here are some of my observations on this pic. First of all, the sleeve and the background are AMAZING. There's a lot of texture in the sleeve that makes it really look feathery and light to me. The bg also has some of that same quality, but you can still tell it's fire from the flames at the top. I hope you remember well how you did those two parts.
The face stands out as something that most need improvement. Right now, it looks to me like the mouth and the chin are both slanted towards the left. I suggest you flip the image horizontally, which makes it easy to see that something's off, especially in symmetrical structures. I hope this is easy to fix.
I second Sajira about cropping the canvas, so the person doesn't look too centered, and I think you can use her diagonal form more effectively. Overall, this is a very solid pic, and it's definitely one of my favorites.
Well, as you should know, this crit is coming from my eyes only, not from a real artist's perspective.
Only crits I really have deal with anatomy. I think the nose looks good, but the way you shaded it makes it look a tad bulbous. Maybe only shade it on one side instead of both? And also, I think her shoulder is a little too high up. If that's the position you wanted that's fine, but if you wanted a relaxed position I think it should be moved down a bit.
But dude, this is gorgeous. I LOVE the way you did the feathers, and the way they blend into the bg. And I think the hair is beautiful. ^_^ One more thing. I'm sure you intended this, but the sleeve that morphs into the rest of the dress confuses me a little... Or is that all the sleeve and that's just a wrinkle? o_O I'm sorry, I can't tell.
This is such a pretty pic, I'm sure everyone will love it. ^_____^
